What
Happens Next?
Once A Siesta Key Wedding receives your completed documentation and payment, your
information is hand delivered to the Sarasota County, Florida courthouse for the issuance of your Marriage License Application.
This document is then mailed or emailed to you at the address you provided on the form you returned.
After revieweing
and attesting to the accuracy of the information shown on the License Application, you will then sign the application in the
presence of a notary and return it to A Siesta Key Wedding. We will then take your signed and notarized application
back to the courthouse for their official seal. The License Application then becomes a Florida Marriage License valid
for 60 days from the issue date. The license is then sent to you via express mail or delivered directly to your ceremony
officiant if you so choose.
After your wedding ceremony has taken place, your ceremony officiant will return the
license to the courthouse for official filing. The courthouse will then forward us a certified copy of your marriage
license which will be express mailed to you at the address included in your information form, or mailed directly from the
courthouse to your address.
